    •  The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

    •  Very relevant to today’s world and problems, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an often scathing satire on entrenched attitudes, particularly racism, Despite arguments that the protagonist and the tenor of the book are anti-racist, criticism of the book continues due to its perceived use of racial stereotypes .Twain himself calls it "...a book of mine where a sound heart and a deformed conscience come into collision and conscience suffers defeat."

Cimarrones is one of the most sought after bomba and plena ensembles in New Jersey. Cimarrones has performed and instructed in very diverse venues. One of the reasons that Cimarrones is so well sought out is their ability to engage the audience, create high energy and educate them at the same time. Cimarrones released its first CD Viejos Tiempos in April of 2009.  The CD is a compilation of traditional Bomba, Colombian Bullerengue songs interpreted in bomba and fusion with Hip Hop and Reggaeton. Our audiences are expected to participate either by playing an instrument, singing, or dancing which is the essence of Bomba.

Which one ultimately proved to have the more accurate and enduring vision for the world? Who is in the news today and why? Come find out the answers in this class on genius with Professor Craig Wright.
