South Orange Seniors is an active group that arranges for events, speakers and even an annual documentary focused on the interests and priorities of local, older residents. To learn more and get involved, email southorangeseniors@gmail.com.
South Orange Senior Circle
The Senior Circle of South Orange was founded in 1970 for the cultivation of friendship and socialization. The Circle has been an ongoing entity ever since to the enjoyment of a multiple number of seniors. It is a membership club requiring annual dues. The membership is open for all South Orange residents over age 55, and persons sponsored by a current member.
Meetings are held monthly on the Third Thursday of each month at the Baird 11:00 am. Anyone interested joining should contact Catherine Sullivan at cicisull@msn.com
Maplewood Garden Club
Since 1927, the Maplewood Garden Club has been a hands-on garden club, open to the people of Maplewood, NJ and the surrounding communities. Meetings are held September through May at the Maplewood Memorial Library (main branch) at 7:30 p.m. and are open to the public.

Maplewood Senior Club
The club meets the second Wednesday of every month at 10am at the Maplewood Senior Center (106 Burnett Ave.) Open to new members, the club offers a wide range of speakers, entertainment and events for residents age 55 and above. For more information, call (973) 763-0750.
SOMA GrandNannies is a group of South Orange and Maplewood grandparents who take care of their local grandchildren full or part time. This 40 member strong (and growing!) group meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Ethical Culture Society (corner of Parker & Prospect in Maplewood) for a face-to-face opportunity to chat and get to know one another better. GrandNannies and GrandDaddies are invited. If you are a grandparent who would like to join their facebook page, go to facebook.com/groups/1403960663030605. This is a page where folks can ask questions, make suggestions, share best practices, books, activities, vent as long as the topic relates to SOMa grandparents and their grandchildren.
